For recycled plastic to be a credible alternative to virgin material, quality alone is not enough. Brands and manufacturers increasingly need to understand where their material comes from, how it moves through the supply chain, how its recycled content is verified, what documentation supports its use and what impact sits behind the material.
At #tide®, traceability and compliance are built into the way we source, process and supply recycled plastic. Our approach combines traceable ocean-bound plastic supply chains, independent certification and verification, quality controls, customer documentation and transparent impact measurement.
The result is recycled material backed by evidence – from its origin and processing to its technical and environmental performance and the broader impact of our work.
We work with defined collection and recycling supply chains and document the journey of our material from collected ocean-bound plastic through processing and recycling to the finished resin.
Digital tracking, supply-chain documentation and independent certification help us provide transparency beyond a simple recycled-content claim.
#tide® combines independent certification and verification with robust customer documentation covering recycled content, sourcing, material quality and supply-chain practices.
Depending on the material and application, we provide documentation such as technical data, Certificates of Analysis, transaction documentation, supplier declarations, test reports and conformity documentation. We also monitor evolving regulatory requirements, including the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), to support our customers’ compliance processes.
Credible environmental claims need credible data.
Independent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) helps quantify the environmental performance of #tide® recycled plastics compared with virgin alternatives. We use environmental data to understand and communicate impacts such as greenhouse-gas emissions and energy use, while being transparent about methodology, system boundaries and limitations.
This provides customers with a stronger evidence base for assessing the environmental footprint of the materials they use.
Our work does not stop at producing recycled plastic. By creating demand for collected ocean-bound plastic, #tide® aims to contribute to better waste-management infrastructure, cleaner coastal environments and stronger local collection systems in the regions where we operate.
The social dimension is equally important. Our approach includes livelihood opportunities, human-rights due diligence, training and safer working practices, alongside activities that support communities and raise awareness about plastic pollution.
Through our Road to 1 Billion Bottles impact program, brands can also contribute directly to these activities – including organizations that do not need recycled plastic themselves.
Customers should not simply have to take our word for what is in their material, where it came from or how it performs.
By combining traceability, documentation, independent verification, environmental data and impact measurement, #tide® provides evidence across the journey of its recycled plastics – helping brands and manufacturers make informed material choices.
